Anyone want a game of golf with my husband? He admits he cannot play well but enjoys the game and the exercise. We have been over to Guzelyurt to the CMC club there. The course is a bit rough but interesting, £10 or 30ytl a round (18 holes) for non members. We live in the Ozankoy area.

My parents arrive on 24th October for one week - my dad will definitely want a game of golf. We are at Turtle Bay Village. He will be looking at playing at Korineum near Esentepe

FOR ANYBODY INTERESTED, the ranger at Korenium will be able to pair people up for golf at Esentepe, it would be worth speaking to him, he really is very obliging.

Something else to keep in mind, the high season will be along soon and prices will go up but if you are a four ball then you will probably qualify for the group rate which is substantially cheaper, something to look at.

The club must look at it's policy though, as a visitor to TRNC recently my son (minor) and myself wanted to cut a deal for eight straight days golf but the club would not budge on it's daily rate which made the whole thing too expensive for us, we only played every second day so they lost out on our fees and eating and drinking, we also did not as a family of five eat in the restaurant as a point of principle.

theres a bunch of pretty useless players in the west who play at CMC occasionally you will find them in most of the bars most of the time I think they call themselves the wackerteers or hackerteers one or tuther

The CMC is just outside Guzelyurt follow signs for Lefka and then Yesilyurt . The club is along the road in the right, shared road with a hospital, you branch off to the right, there is a small car park and administration building. Does not mention golf club on building.

Just down the road are the ruins of Soli worth visiting, and on the way back on left there is a lovely restaurant/bar with own cove and beautiful view over the bay.

So if you only go golfing and want a drink after is well worth the run out - about a mile or two.

Hi all,

I agree esentepe course is amazing but far too expensive £60 each for a round of golf!

Then all the hire costs ontop of that your looking at about £100 a day easy!

And apparently they turn away children in the restaurant- a friend of mine tried to go for lunch with her husband and 2 kids the place was empty aswell but still they turned them away!!

Things like this wont do them any favours!!

I appreciate that golf courses are adults only-but to be empty and turn away 4 people for lunch is a bit extreme!!

They will loose out if they dont change the pricing and a few simple rules and policies!!

See ya D

The course is beautiful but it would be nice to pay every day and not be ripped off. Our whole family plays shame to find out that kids not welcome!

is esentepe worth £50 more than cmc if you want to play at least 4 times in 2 weeks also i play off 10 handicap and i found esentepe had to many blind holes you were unable to find where your ball had finished they have made the course much to difficult for a mid to high handicap players when i played there in july i played with a 16 handicap player he lost at least 12 balls in 15 holes he had to borrow some from me to complete his round thants not what you want from holiday golf
