I used sunny cyprus and my connection was rubbish and the service I got was the same. I gave them lots of time to try and sort it out but as I had paid up front for the year I didn't have a leg to stand on really.

I moved to Extend 18 months ago and besides the odd hiccup they have been good, not great but good. Hope this helps.

Hello Jarnac,

fwiw, we are in the same area and use KKTC 3GB USB mobile for emails and surfing; and it's fine most of the time.

You said In karsiyaka..but is it towards mountains or towards sea. Try Ari net - Extend broadband. Or there is one more called e-motion. Sunny Cyprus may be

For e-motion I can say they don't charge until they are satisfied with the connection. No deposits . No advance.

Bora is the owner of that company, speaks very good English . 0392-8223620. His office Number. The most important thing is they always get back to you. They help. There staff is very co-operative. This is my personal experience. At least You don't have to wait 20-30 minutes to be connected with the operator, specially it cost you a fortune if you calling through mobile. None of the ISP is perfect on this Island. I have used couple of them before connecting with e-motions. We had some problems with them as well.but later on we found out it was almost all ISP's having problems. That is why I said. No ISP is perfect on this Island..But what make them different is there after sales service.

Hope it will help you.

Telsim have an offer on dongles at the moment - I think it's 99TL which includes 1MB download per month for the first 3 months. Go to the Telsim shop in Girne - left hand side of the road just before the Lefkosa roundabout. If you want wireless, Haypem (almost opp. Green Garage) do this through Xrealnet for 55TL a month plus installation. I know several people with this and they have had no problems at all.

I Live at Karsiyaka, and over five years have suffered poor or indifferent service from two or three Internet Service Providers. However I have been with Extend Wireless now for three years and the service has improved. I only have the 512mb connection, which I use for downloads, telephone and emails etc and I find it satisfactory. The price last year was 675TL for the year and my connection speeds during the last six months have exceeded the 51 figure most of the time, indeed I am often getting 60 +, so I would recommend here. I also deal with Extend through what was the previous ISP (Internet Club) who offer a 24 hour, seven days a week service and on the rare occasion I have had to contact them, the problem has been quickly sorted. Hope that helps.

Suggestions please for best proven internet provider for wireless internet (internet usage only req'd) to use in Catalkoy. Property is located close to sea, near Cornaro Beach Club, no trees, mountains or other obstructions.

Thank you
