But you can only SORN it minimum of 12 Months.

If you decide to tax it before 12 Months they back date it minimum of 6 Months and as well as fine.

so if want a car for the summer make sure its registration date is march/april or september october

Maybe a new point to include when selling especially since car tax has gone up so much.

Good for swallows, car registration date

but remember if you use the car when it is SORN it really is a no no as you have signed you will not be using it therefore breaking legal paperwork. Not the same as not taxing it.

I advised customers to do it when ant33 advised how it could be done but the car's birthday did not suit their arrangements. I know they were without the car for a bit.

In the U.K. you can cash in your road tax for full calander months only and sorn it. Retaxing it on your return to the U.K. and once again it starts on the 1st. of the month.

In the TRNC I think that you must tax the car for a full year and pay a fine it you are late renewing it.
