Acording to BBC1 News just now Gaddafi is giving every family in Libya 50 million dinars.

Anyone know ho much that is in GBP or TL?

XE Exch doesn't seem to quote Libya Dinars.

Maybe the question should be... where is he getting that?

If he's giving it to all then nobody is better off or he must have stolen it from them in the first place.

Something wrong there means he is giving everyone 25 million pounds. He must have truly gone mad now.

>>1301: BBC Middle East bureau editor Paul Danahar says there are long queues at bread shops in Tripoli and much longer ones at banks as people try to collect the 500 dinar ($400) promised to all families by the government in an attempt to quell the uprisings in the country.<<

What with this bride and losing his Ukrainian nurse, it's looking pretty desperate for Gaddafi - desperate guys do desperate things.. :(
