Hello there



I am getting married in North Cuprus this coming September and trying to get all of my plans finalised now. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can get cheap jars - the type that you would put sweets in? A little bit random I know. Also looking for cheap picture frames.....various types.



I am also looking for someone who would be able to provide confetti / petals.



Lastly, as a surprise, I am looking for a nice car to take my H2B and his friends to the ceremony. Can anyone offer any advice?

Are you using a wedding planner or independent????? certainly a wedding planner has all thi sinformation, but of course that is their job and they would want money. Otherwise, maybe someone who has already got married here might know the answer.

September will be mighty hot so tell your guests to wear suitable clothing that won't show-up sweat marks. Nothing worse than wedding photos that look like a wet T-shirt contest!

Photo frames , try: Mr Pound, Wednesday market, near the Police Station, Onders in Nicosia or even the next Auction in Ozankoy might have some to sell. What size are you looking for?



Cars: Sunbeams have some lovely cars or there is a blue Rolls Royce over at Famagusta.



Petals: Most florists can help you, Kamelya behind the Pia Bella hotel is excellent. He may have confetti too. If not try the wedding shops in Nicosia or get some bought out from the UK.

Thanks to all of you that have replied. Really nice of you. Yes - I have a wedding planner who is excellent - but the car is something that I want to keep a secret for my H2B and his friends and something that I really wanted to sort out myself.



Thanks also for the info about the confetti and the frames. I shall get my bridesmaids onto those when they get to Cyprus ;)

My daughter got married in Crete last year........we took with us cans of Cool It and Ice in a Can........It is a must for you and your guests, instant relief from the heat but unobtainable in Cyprus, I know as we tried to get it last summer.......It really does cool you down in an instant......tell your guests to pack it and they wont be sorry!!
