Is it possible to fit extra solar water heating panels so that you have some facing both east and west?

Ours face due east and we'd like some facing west too.

How much are replacement tubes for solar panels please - the type of solar panel, with the 15 glass tubes in it, you have outside your shop?

Vaughan we don't have a roof section facing south, our house runs east to west facing northwards at the front. This gives us a very nice aspect but it does mean that the Solar HW panels would not sit easily in a southerly direction. However we are prepared to be amazed.

For PROFESSIONAL solar hot water systems (also for incl central heating- or pool heating back-up) we suggest proper solar collectors and not this "local crab". for those systems you should have a "closed loop" and the system should be pumped. more info http://www.kibsolar.com and a price for a solar runned circulation pump here:

No!, there is no significant benefit! these local solarcollectors only produce significant amounts of hot water in the summer... the time nobody wants it.

Adding (and present) solar collectors have problems related with materials and design.

better would be to have a new and better system.

msg 4

If you are unlucky, in the morning the east side will heat up your storage tank and the west side will cool the system down again. in the evening vice versa and at night these "open loop systems" will cool down the storage tank anyway.

I have a good system supplied by a firm out here but am looking for some replacement glass tubes for it - anybody know where I could get them and at what price - also the price of 1 and 2 ton plastic tanks would be helpful.
