What a brilliant class. 2 students gave us an excellent first teach at Hip Hop dance.

I have to admit , being the only guy , I was a bit dubious about doing it but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks Paula for organising it and looking forward to next week.

the lonely little Petunia in the onion patch. Didn't he do well! And not a single blush!

Great idea of Paula's who says there is room for more. So anyone who feels like being a rabbit and hip hopping all over the place, same time same place next week.

I believe there are more teachers on stand by, so all the more the merrier. It means that more would be teachers get a chance to experience a class of 'wanna-bes'. Just turn up 5p.m. next Tuesday and take a look. And there is a cafeteria in the sam ebuilding where you can say 'Enough of the hip hop, I am hopping off for a cuppa.'

Loose boots, Metin and Maz thanks so much for the positive response to the first class- it was great fun and Sevim really enjoyed teaching you all. I'm glad you're looking forward to the next lesson.

Yes there are more spaces available and we are continuing with Hip Hop this week. So we hope to see you at the Dance Academy on Tuesday at 5pm and they are FREE!!

Paula.

I would have thought that a lot more people would come if they took in that magic four letter word - FREE.

Not a lot is free these days and with no 'catch'.

Who knows, you might even end up with too many students!!!!

So Looseboots are you tightening up your footwear for next week? If so, will join you, but doing more of the Barefoot Contessa stuff. So who can tell how it was this week? Everyone still hip hopping or jazzed up?

Marion & LooseBoots - we missed you both this week and yes we were still 'Hip Hopping' around the studio. On Tuesday I think the girls' are going to start some Jazz...

We would love to see more of you there...remember it is FREE, no catches....5-6pm every Tuesday until the beginning of May...

See you Tuesday,

Paula.

Must admit that freebie sounds good. Should encourage more, including me, shouldn't it. So what is keeping folk away. No age limits are there? And presumably no undue health limits.

If anyone is afraid that they might have a heart attack, how would you reassure them?

Maz - sorry for not replying sooner but I have not been in 'computer contact' for a few days. Hopefully we will see a few more join us as it is free and fun.....

As for people worried that it might be too much for them and cause them problems - the girls taking the classes take each set of steps slowly and no-one is forced to dance for the whole hour and we stop for a drink break during the session. If any of the ladies (& gentleman) who have joined in for the last two weeks are on here hopefully they will re-iterate what I have just said!!! Above all it is about having fun and trying something new....

Please lets see more of you there on Tuesday at 5pm - GAU Dance Academy...

Paula.

Confirming that all is gentleness and light. In fact the hip hop was more slide, glide, so have no fear if you are over 40 and feeling less than fit.

I certainly did not ache at all, and I could well be the oldest recycled teenager in the group (maybe??) and Looseboots could well be younger than I. I admit I wasn't there last week, but really it was so gentle I thought I was in a quiet movement to music rather than strenuous dance.

But it was GOOD GOOD GOOD. The teachers were so gentle, and , yes it was fun, and yes, you can skive off if you feel the need. The cafe is right next door!

And on a personal note to Angie, - will phone. At the mo still not sure where I will be, but tomorrow should be clearer. Hasn't anyone else volunteered?????

So I expect to see a packed dance floor on Tuesday!
