gmail connection

The above message is on my gmail.. Is anyone having problems with gmail...

===> No. it's webmail (so: not POP3!) - you manage your email via your browser. It's not dependent on the platform you use (Mac OS 9.xx/10,x.x, Windows x.x, Linux etc). In one word: excellent! FAR BETTER than Yahoo or MSN etc. Try it - I'm sure you'll be amazed and satisfied.

I get this a lot on gmail especially if my internet connection isn't fast enough. Sometimes if it is slow it will only load in basic HTML (tends to be read only mode) - bit of a pain but better than nothing, you can usually then load it in standard mode to reply to emails.

If it loses the connection after it has loaded it should keep trying to connect with longer intervals between each try. If you click on the arrow next to your name on LHS below Contacts, you will get a list of all your contacts and an option to retry now rather than waiting for xx seconds.
