Example 'life in the UK' tests here http://www.hiren.info/life-in-the-uk-test/1 "The Life in the United Kingdom Test" is a test for individuals seeking Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or naturalisation as a British citizen. The test lasts for 45 minutes, the entrants have to answer 24 questions. the test is based on chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 of a revised handbook (second edition) "Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship". Remember that you need to get at least 75% to pass this test Have a go - not as easy as you might think even for UK citizens !

The grammar in so many of the questions is appalling - who wrote the Questionnaire? It starts with "The Life in the United Kingdom" wouldn't that be "Life in the United Kingdom"? The first question at the beginning of the second page, doesn't even make sense, after the fourth page, I give up - so many questions are a matter of opinion, and can't be proven either way - total absolute utter tripe - is it a REAL test? In which case, says a lot about the United Kingdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not the actual test, it is an example of the kind of questions in the test. It has been done by some indivduals I think. The government does not offer such a 'demostration test' service. They run real tests in test centers but do not offer an online example like this one.

Well I didn't find any of the answers subjective, they were clearly right or wrong apart from the one that asked about Bank Holidays. Never been to Scotland have they cos Boxing Day isn't a Bank Holiday there! H

This lesson has been learnt from the ausies in the 50s. The idea is to cut down immigration. I wish they had it in the 70s. I may never have moved to a 3rd world country.
