I think they've blown their title chance after this terrible display.

First on the transfer list should be Carrick.

Have got to agree.....Nani probably did more harm to Man Utd's reputation than any poor performance. I do believe the little fella (bless him !!!) was actually crying at one point. Did the nasty Mr Carragher scrape his shin ?? Diddums !!!

they were embarassed about getting beat by a shower of c@@p that have only performed in 2 games this season , today & against chelski , they are still miles away from the top 4 clubs , they won a battle , not the war .

Absolutely brilliant!!

Well said everybody and its great all the Man U fans are silent now- arse clenching time haha!!

Andy-F and his cronies with all their earlier slagging off about Liverpool, I did say what goes around comes around!

You were well beaten and deserved your goal but we scared how many.........................3!!!!

We may not be in Champs League next year but we have to be more consistent, our performance at West Ham was woeful but perhaps we needed that to get our arses into gear.

We too could make excuses about half a team etc but we don't we take defeat in our stride and LEARN. something the tearful Mancs Glory Hunters cannot do, I still think they wil win league but can see Arsenal knocking them out of FA Cup.

3 games against the Mancs and won 1 and lost 2 but 5 goals each- looking forward for renewing battle next year.

But until next season the bragging rights are well and truly at ANFIELD the home of LIVERPOOL!!

Don't imagine us scousers are unfeeling, gloating, hard hearted football supporters,

Unlike like the Mankies, we don't take pleasure in other's misfortune. .

when Nani fell over and cried...we all cried....we will miss the histrionic diver ...

presumably by his behaviour he'll be out for months.

Arsend bender has got the Gunners cheque book out at last and bid £50 for Nani but Mothercare have topped all offers with a bid of £55 and freebies of a pram and dummy.

It does show though that Nani and his antics are the main talking point of the match, such a shame not just for Liverpool but for Man U as this is what they have brought themselves down to.

Vidic has 2 more games to miss, when is Rio due back?

I felt that Liverpool were more determined to win and match was won in Midfield, a player I like Paul Scholes has in my mind played his last big game as was nondescript all game apart from yellow card, his passing and tackling are slower such a shame but a real great player.

Carroll will be a threat to any side and can see him being a sub until next European game though.

Well done to Liverpool on their tremendous cup final win today. What the chaps that play at Anfield need to realise though,is that there are more then four games in a season. The two Merseyside derbies, and the the two league games, against United. If only they (Liverpool) could focus week in week out, during a full league season, instead of just peaking for four games.Perhaps then they may be able to capture that elusive first Premiership title.

Anfield was buzzing today, and i sensed that United could be in for a good hiding.Which is what they received. What i didnt expect though was the treatment i received from the "scallies" outside the Anfield road end, after the game.As i have said numerous times,United are an average side.It has always seemed obvious to me that once they lost their first game this season, the floodgates would open.

One has to question the decision of Ferguson to pick Carrick over Fletcher.Carrick has no heart for a Lancs Derby.Poor choice there sir Alex, contin

Liverpool now need to carry on todays fantastic cup final win,and push on to a top four spot, lol. Not sure who they play next but if they play with the same commitment and endeavour as they showed today, then they should be fine.Cant see it ,personally. My mind goes back to las week against West Ham when they where totally inept.

So to the scouser that took exception to my wonderfully formed nose,i would just like to wish you a very enjoyable Sunday. And i hope you enjoy your Thursday nights on channel 5.The Premier league starts in August and finishes in May.Liverpool fans really do need to start to think outside the box,as one swallow doesnt make a summer,

Paul.

Well said newlad. Now does this latest result alter your earlier thoughts that Liverpool would be relegated and drop like a stone as Leeds did? Where are Everton? as you predicted that they would be the top team on Merseyside this year. Now i would not be so bold as to suggest that the great Man u were in any sort of panic mode, but the latest results are showing that any team can go through a bad patch. As Sir Alex puts it

'squeeky bum time' Champions League game coming up, cup game against Arsenal and the return match with Chelsea, good luck mate!!!!!!

geoff,

utd been going through a bad patch all season, ive said it many times on here ,they are there for the taking.if utd dont win the prem, which i am not sure about yet, because there is not much out there to stop them over a season, the odd couple of teams namely arsenal and chelsea are the only teams likely to do it.if utd dont win the prem,i think that will be good news for utd long term.there will be more pressure put on the americans to sell.im glad we have started to talk football again it seems such a long time ago that a thread about utd was started.must be something to do with when utd lose.long live the a b u,

Hi Geoff,

Re mess 30,i stand by what i said earlier in the season.Everton are only six points behind

Liverpool, and have a game in hand.As for " squeaky bum time" you are correct in thinking that

United will struggle.I have said all along, that once they lose their first match, the defeats will

come rolling in.Until United sort out their midfield, teams will just walk through them.Gone

are the days of given teams a two goal start and still winning the game.

I have only seen United play well once this season, and that was in the first half against Chelsea

last week. There is no strength in depth anymore,at United, and no crop of class youngsters.

Worrying times ahead, for United fans.Which will please the rest of the footballing world. Those

Glazershave got a lot to answer for,

Paul.

Nani didn't do himself or Manure any favours by running to the ref and then going down again!! You know when a player is badly hurt.... they stay on the floor and do NOT roll about, or get up and run to the ref. He may well be injured but not as badly as he made out... he could see the writing was on the wall in that match and didn't want to be part of a heavy beating.

Just need Blackpool to beat Chelski tonight, which they won't of course, so that Spurs can stay in touch after a couple of bad results.

Apparently Nani passed out in the changing room because of dehydration due to all the water he lost through his eyes.
