ready made sandwiches

I have recently seen lots of ready made sandwiches on the counters in the supermarkets. They contain chicken with salad or beef ham. They are not kept chilled but just placed on the counter. I seem to recall in the UK that Food and Hygiene Dept found they contained bacteria and they were told to place them in the chiller compartment. Do they not know that here I wonder.

Im just saying about the cypriot ready made sandwiches on the counters. Im sure no English by them anyway. We are aware of boch.....m

No1 Doyen, I did try and explain to the man behind the counter, but he didnt understand what I was talking about. Will try and see the Manager next time.

Hi Furryfriends, they should be kept in the chiller,but you know that is just common sense it does amaze me that there health & safety standards in supermarkets is still far behind. Also always check the sell by date.
