http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/9417478.stm This BBC sports story says it all: The fight will not be in the US or UK according to Kbros management and will most likely be in Germany. Wvlad has the right to pull out up to three days before the fight and Haye will still be obligated to fight his brother Vitali. The above article suggests that this is a back up plan beneficial to Haye's cause... What a lot of old s***t. Haye is now training for a heavy weight unification title fight against what could be either Kbro.. Whats that all about??? Up until now there has been uncertainty surrounding who has been responsible for contractual delays and deadlock but judging by what Haye has had to sign in order to get this fight I think its clear that the Klitchkos have been responsible. I hope Haye knocks them both out and puts a bit of excitement back in the HV division.

Considering it was David Haye that pulled out of the first contracted meet ... ..and it's Wladimir ( Wlad would be reserved for someone who knew him and a enjoyed mutually respectful relationship...) PLE-EASE let's not get tied up in the 'bull' that is designed to hype a fight... and stick to facts...

Indeed Haye pulled out with an apparent back injury.... cant comment on that.. draw your own conclusions.. But what I was getting at was the protacted contractual stage since the original call off, back and forth, who's to blame for the failure to strike a deal. Both camps blaming the other etc etc. I was simply referencing the BBC Sport article, that stated the likey venue (Germany) and the possibility of Wvladimir being replaced by Vitali anytime prior to three days before the fight. The latter seeming to be quite unreasonable in my view. The Kbros (you dont mind the abreviation do you?) have notoriously rigid contracts, which you could argue they as champions deserve, but the BBC article for me gives some authority to Haye's claims that the Klitchkos have been making negotiations difficult. As for getting tied up in the hype and "bull", i must apologise in advance but i'm going to get really excited about it as im still hopefull we will get to see the spectacle we deserve!

cont: Just one last point. Boxing has been surrounded by Hype since the very early days they are inextricably linked. From Max Schmeling and Joe Louis, who's bouts transcended boxing due to the escalating tensions worldwide in the late 1930's. To Ali v Liston Ali v Foreman/Frazier. Mr Clay was the king of hype and self promotion and happened to be arguably the best boxer to ever live. There are too many examples to list but just for starts: Iron Mike Tyson Marvelous Marvin Nassem Hamed Eubank Money Mayweather Yeah I understand it can be distateful and at times undermines the sport. But the point is as long as boxing exists you will have this type of media circus and for me its all part of the show and part of the excitement... I for one cant wait for the fight, if it in fact happens. fingers crossed...

As I have said on a previous thread, the fight Haye v AN. Other Klits will take place one day after the Cyprus problem has been solved i.e it will never happen. It is much more convenient for all concerned, if they keep to their own version of the heavyweight crown, and knock over a few patsies thus making steady money and not risking it all with a unification. Watch this space. Michael

I refer you to message 7, (which is about 6 weeks old) and I still believe that the fight will be rescheduled for some unspecified reason. If you book your flight for the 2nd July, I suggest you have a plan B. Michael

What is it exactly that people find exciting about two grown up men knocking 6 bells out of each other? I left a war zone called Cyprus and could not believe how blood thirsty the average joe public was in London.

Dont get me wrong hollie, I would like to see the fight take place as it would be good to get a true champion but heavyweight boxers know which side of their bread is buttered. If they can knock over a patsy (or two) without putting their livelyhood at risk then they live to fight another day. Why should Haye but his reputation at risk when there is another Audrey Harrison out there waiting to be slugged. Michael

Michael this is very true.... no management intentionally takes on needlessly difficult opponents when they can be avoided but this fight needs to happen now for the sake of the heavy weight division... Fingers crossed we will get a good one....
