Definately off this morning, but was OK last night although the connection was poor at times. Only yellow signal strength!

My skype in Catalkoy is fine. Used it earlier and call was very clear.

So, if SKYPE and other voIP ( voice over IP services ) are poor - this is an internet related issue



A good test to run - if in the UK or the 'rump' RoC ( ''south' Nicosia) :

You click on the world map, then choose your region - nothing for TR



To get as close to mimicking SKYPE choose G.729 Codec



I would be interested to know what folks get trying to use the UK or Cyprus servers ..

Hi, Yes I have been experiencing some difficulty in the last few days. The incoming call is virtually impossible to understand whereas they report that I am as clear as a bell. I wondered if I had caused the problem by downloading the "Trustware" program that TIC reviewed in last Saturday's Cyprus Today. I have now removed the program and updated my Skype to Skype 5 and I will test it out soon to see if it has improved.

We are now experiencing problems with Skype (can't make any calls). Did you all manage to resolve your issues with it? Any tips please.

Hi spangles,

To check Skype for updates,

left click on HELP, at the top of your Skype page, then

left click on "Check for Updates" if there are any updates available,

Skype will then ask if you want to download them.
