Totally out of order. I suggest you take a visit to KAR and see exactly what they take in.

Hollylou, I think your remark is most uncalled for. Please go the KAR centre, see the work they do under horrendous circumstances and then perhaps you'll change your mind. Hopefully you might contribute money, offer your services by taking dogs for work so they are not cooped up for months at a time, sign the petition to try and stop poisoning, contribute to the Charity Shop or even buy a ticket to attend the concert at Bellapais Abbey on March 26th, where Demet James and Fikri Toros will be helping to raise funds.

Rowlo,

you are obviously ignorant of the habits of dogs, so why bother to show your ignorance by making inane comments about a subject you know nothing about. It's instinctive for dogs to explore new territories if and when the opportunity arises.

Stick to subjects you know something about, although reading some of your purile comments, your knowledge on most subjects is very limited.

A reasonable comment from Rowlo I thought, that didn't justify such an ignorant reply. I think that there are an increasing number of idiots posting on this site.

hollylou - for you info it was collected NOT because it was thought to be a pedigree (which it probaly isn't anyway) but because it was reported that it may have been involved in an accident. When the KAR people got there it was clear that there was a problem with the dog that needed vet treatment.

Your remarks about puppies does not equate with what i know of KAR (which seems to be a darn sight more than you) - unowned vulnerable puppies are a priority for them . They may ask people to wait a short while so that space can be found or people are asked if they can transport them themselves to the Centre (due to logisitcs of the vans) but invariably they will take puppies. Each case reported is assessed and prioritised according to the iformation given.

How often have you had to deal with a box crammed full of puppies or badly malnoursished and ill dogs dumped literally on your doorstep ? I have lost count of the ones that KAR have had to deal with so far JUST this year. ctd

ctd

How many dogs or cats that are badly injured in road accidents or other incidents have you had to deal with ?

These are just cases that people are often unaware of. That is without the other cases that members of the public report in.

Often the only time people have any dealings with KAR is when they (people like you no doubt) want KAR to do something for them. Then because KAR can't do what the person wants, when they want its not good enough. Then they rant and rave about how terible KAR is .

KAR can only do so much.

What have you done to help ? Not very much i expect apart from whinge and moan about people who are trying to help in whatever way they can.
