i have read all the posts about bringing their dogs to Cyprus from the U.K, but i would like to know if anyone knows about bringing my dog over from turkey where he is registered does the procedures change because North Cyprus is a Republic of Turkey. i have asked a few diffrent people in Turkey and in Cyprus but i get different stories which im getting used to so if anyone does know exactly please post it thanx

The problem with bringing your dog is, who will collect him/her from the airport as new laws suggest that only another dog relative can do the transfers and that the taxi drivers will all carry a D.N.A kit to check that you are the legal relative of the hound, if you are found to be doing airport transfers with a non-blood relative you will be liable to a fine imposed by the police and banned from the airport car park.

thanx for your informative input!!!!!! L.O.L

i thought that would be the case so thats why the dog will be coming over with us when we fly over im going to put the dog in the cargo hold, ive have contacted kthy and they said they take animals but coming over from turkey ive been told i dont need a import licence and then been told i do need one!!!

im all over the place 1st its my citizenship problem and now the pet problem.

Marvo i bet you could put me in contact with a few woman with close dna match i see you are from glasgow i know a few people in castlemilk where their is a few dogs L.O.L only kidding mate
