It does concern me a little that as a student you are asking for a Husky. I don't want to appear rude but are you aware of the work involved in grooming, feeding and veterninary fees required to luck after a pedigree Husky?

I know KAR were looking for a home for a husky.

I have met the dog they are / were offering and he is a lovely boy, you wouldn't go wrong with him.

His name is Merlin, give them a call and see if they still have him. Must let agro than dealing with a puppy!

I have to echo Tango1 - all animals are HARDER work, than being a parent, because children have a voice box - animals don't. You would have to pay high vet bills as it is unlikely you will know what is wrong or how to cure an ailment, should one occur - they need cuddles, walks, annual jabs, maybe cosmetic procedures (nail cutting if they won't let you do it, or they don't walk on enough rough surfaces to keep them trimmed) grooming - most especially when the weather is fierce. They need company. A life span of 15 + years is a possibility - will you be looking after your pet for a decade and a half? You have to pay to have it spayed or neutered, if you breed the animal, you have to keep the pups for at least eight weeks, and sell on fully innoculated - having pups is VERY hard work- and so on and so forth.......IF you have thought all of that through - enjoy - dogs are very loyal, give you heaps of love and affection, plus medical science has proven dogs lower owner's blood pressure
