We are coming out again to NC on the 22nd October staying at Riverside. Has everything shut down by then?

Hi Lincsman

I was over last year in the middle of October. The main difference that I found is that some of the restaurants had moved their tables and chairs inside rather than being outside. There were visibly less people on the beaches and it did have the feel of things winding down.

I spoke to the owner of Turtle beach on the Karapas and he said that his trade finishes in Mid November.

Weather was still great, 28 during the day but dropped a little at night. Most nights I was still able to wear a T-shirt but a couple of nights I put on a jumper.

Glad to hear there is still stuff going on over the winter. I would quite like to experience NC at a different time of year outside of the summer.

I come over in October every year and I love it. We even witnessed rain 2 years ago, and boy did it rain.

Days are still hot but not too hot. Evenings nice and cool and allows for a comfortable sleep. There are plenty of restaurants still open.

Cyprus is nice in October cos the electricity bills are cheaper no aircon or heating. Only joking its nice to experience Cyprus when its nots so busy and people are more relaxed as well

Local friends say it's one of the best times. Weather pleasant and

not too busy. I was swimming in pool late Nov. last year.

The October half term week is really nice - mid 80s in the day and cooler at night - still very much beach weather in the day - and Acapulco is free from what I can remember.

Restaurants are still good - we tended to go to different ones which are still lively - for example Niazis, Rafters, and plenty more are very much year round. Hope you enjoy it.

does anyone go out in december?

we tried it last year...

and how about swimming in the sea on xmas day

and sunbathing on boxing day?

beautiful in the daytime but the nights were 'taters

cannot guarantee brilliant sunny weather this time!

but the sea is warmer in december than february,

and days are lighter than uk, good to get out of the gloom

we were in the trnc during late august this year:

far too hot and the humidity was unbearable

please don't overlook december, north cyprus needs you!

Nige

We all know your winter gear is a fur-lined thong....

I thought we were trying to encourage tourism to Northern Cyprus. The thought of Liitle Nige in a "fur lined thong" might put off a lot of potential visitors!
