NICOSIA — Two Polish Euro MPs and two Greek Cypriots were arrested on Saturday after entering an off-limit military area in Turkish-occupied northern Cyprus, allegedly to visit destroyed Orthodox churches there.

They broke the law and were caught. If it had been me, I would still be locked up. It is the same as that church at Christmas, a deliberate attempt to cause trouble and, once again, the dullards in the EU will fall for it.

Another staged effort to get bad publicity for The North.

if anyone reading this feels that it was a bit of a naughty stunt to be done by the south to give the TRNC a bad name, why not write to Graham Watson, the MEP for S.W.England. He is a good ally of the Turkish Cypriots. Some individuals have already written and certain London based NGO's are compiling letters expressing their concern and asking Grham to point out to Europe how it seems this was an incident deliberately triggered by the GC's involved to misuse and mislead KEP's in order to fabricate an internaitonal 'crisis' and poison world opinion against us here...... or however you feel. No abuse, but just expressing concern.

Write to casework2@grahamwatsonmep.org, or Alexander Downer if you have an address.

Don't just say how terrible it was, make sure that those who matter know that many of us think it was, to coin a word 'unnecessary'!

You kinow the saying Rowlo 'Evil prevails while good men stand by and do nothing!' I know the Orams and I know the let downs, but there are still those in U.K and in U.K parliament who care and who DO continue to fight for us. So, we must not give up and must gently express our views. Otherwise the silence from those who care will be the silence of consent.

Know how you feel, but someone has to unstop the ears of the deaf!

Msg 7: "there are still those in U.K and in U.K parliament who care and who DO continue to fight for us."

As long as the British government and all other nations in the world apart from Turkey don't recognise TRNC, this is utterly meaningless and futile.
