Unfortunately he is extremely expensive make sure you get a second quote. My friend had his dish installed for £250 by Digital Supreme when Iceman wanted £500

Are you comparing like with like? For example the diameter of the dish, offset or not, the quality of LNB, the quality of the cables etc. etc.



Without a serious comparison of various factors it is wrong to make such statements.

Very true Ismet, Icey uses quality cables, LNB, etc, and all installations come with a lifetime warranty.

He has been back to re-align our dish due to the base moving a little, and is always available for tuning advice etc.

Excellent service.

digital supreme use a system called card sharing where by you can watch 1000s of quality channels. I immediately cancelled my subscription with sky and there is not turning back. I do not use digital supreme as I have a friend who does the same thing but with slightly less channels but I have a friend who used digital supreme just last week and he was very pleased with the service. U can only go by recommendation and this guy was value for money. By the the way the dish was a 4.2 they are standard and the lnb was a quad invacom and high quality cable at the end of the day BBC and itv are crystal clear that's what counts

I dont know what dish your friend had installed by this "digital supreme" but it sure is not what i use for my installations..

I import the dish i use myself because what is available on the market will not do the job as well,so no way to compare their prices.



I feel confident enough with my work that i do not ask for money until customer fully tests the system and pays me when convinced that it works trouble free.

That's more than you could say for some "ladder monkeys" going around these days.



by the way...why don't you tell use the real reason you decided to sell your 4.2m dish?

was it not because it was poorly installed and kept giving you problems which your installer couldn't fix?

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys my friend.

can't help thinking that this post was a plug for iceman, I merely commented on iceman prices and not his work however you are not the only person who installs sky dishes, there are other reputable installers as well my dish was installed by a guy called ugur who work was of the highest standard. I have since moved but have had a different system installed whereby I get a better choice of films and every single premiership and champions league game, it is a far better system than sky but that is my opinion.

there are two types of dishes especially for big dishes the first one is like a pollyester dish the price is cheap but lifespan and quality are very low and also they absorb the rain and sun, second is aluminum cost is expensive but will last longer than u and me and quality is much better

you can get most of the channels on a 1.8mt dish but a lot of expats go for the big dishes mostly for bbc and itv channels but some go for the cheaper dish and regret it in the long term

ataturk is right sky is really second rate compared to other packages out there, ive got a 1.8mt fully motorized and recieve everything especially after i have worked my magic on it!!! lol and no need to connect to the internet



i have heard of iceman thru people who he has done work and is quite well known for sky dont know about motorised dishes etc, he might be a bit more expensive than others but at the end of the day you pay for what you get and its not all about the install its the after sales service and knowing what you talk about that what counts in this game



i suppose if its not blatant advertising and just a person pluging a company or person on there/his work which they were happy with is a good thing because thats wot these forums shud be for, a person reconmeding a company to another so they dont ripped of aswell as many other things!!!!
