Please allow me a little bit of nostalgia. Wavelengths were used in the old days and were measured in metres. Amazing how the British did not literally put their feet in it. So short wave was about 10-80 metres, Medium wave 100-600 metres and Long wave 900-1800 metres or about those regions.



Now we talk about Frequencies for FM (Frequency Modulation) Stations, like 94.60 MHz. Don't get fooled by Hertz, it simply means Cycles per second. Radio waves, like light waves travel about 300,000 kilometres per second in air, so if you divide this by the frequency you get the wavelength in metres e.g. 94.6 MHz equals about 3.2 metres. The length of the antenna rods ideally should be a quarter of this i.e. 80 cms.

"Reklam Yayınları İletişimi için" means "Contact for advertisements".

Their Frequency is given as 93.80 MHz.
