I think more C44 members wrote about, asked about or answered about something Cyprus. Has the interest of the members changed or have the members changed..?

Hans Some would say that with the increasing number of members the scope of the board has expanded. It now goes beyond the remit of an information repository to reflect the lives and interests of those who for whatever reason have an interest in TRNC. It is in fact an organic living organism of its own, in other words a community. Whilst it is still possible to obtain the information from the wealth of experience that members have the development has been a good thing overall, making it vibrant, interesting and yes sometimes funny, sometimes frustrating. Pretty much like a non electronic community. All power to it H

RE msg 4, Harold2555: I accept and understand your point of view although mine is different. I think on this board it's has become a matter of the diverging of opinions. Too many members nowadays - in my opinion - show no interest in anything Cyprus, but the football, rugby, cricket, weather, crime and what have you in the UK attract overwhelming interest and a flood of posts. Nothing wrong with that, you may think. But I find it a pity that hardly any aspect of old or modern (Northern) Cyprus is ever commented on or asked about by the aforementioned C44 members. Oh well, they are standing in a corner of the electronic pub where different items are discussed. It's not my corner though.

Hans I appreciate that you don't enjoy all aspects of the forum in its modern guise but you underestimate your own contribution I think. Your posts garner a lot of interest and most certainly add to the rich tapestry that is 44. Harold

Hans, I agree with uour messages 3 & 5. I would add to your observations all the posts relating to lost, found and not wanted anymore dogs and cats. You will have noticed that there were none (or the very rare one) of these types of posting in 2008.

There was I note an Assosciation Football Thread (How Quaint) I for one as a football fan wouldn't mind if we had one thread for all such posting. It would take co operation as I am loathe to suggest more work for myself and fellow admins! Harold

Just had a quick count up and on the first page there are 4 threads currently not directly related to Cyprus. Not too bad and I know that at other times there are more. H

RE msg 13, Blackbird: You are right - I posted the link WITHOUT a space in the middle, but this board knows better and replaced the space in the middle! So what to do? Easy: copy the link into your browsers URL window, check that the space is gone en hit return.
