Before moaning and whinging expats on this board try to make me miserable again with another negative post about this country - I started the day again with a fine cup of Dutch D.E. coffee (Tempo) on the terrace. Read some pages in "Knights of the Black and White - in the beginning there was the order..." and now type this post before I'll have breakfast. With Dutch cheese (Maasdam, Erülkü supermarket - good choice of all kinds of cheeses!) and fresh Turkish bread. No, you can't spoil my day or life on this board. I like it here! Have a nice day also!

I hope others will add why they LIKE TO LIVE here. Once in a while such a thread should be written also, I think!

RE msg 9, mersin10: I think it's 16TL for 250 gram (Tempo supermarket, Karaoğlanoğlu), imported from Holland. Not quite sure though, I'll have to ask my wife. Douwe Egberts coffee is also (cheaper) for sale in South Nicosia, but it looked to us as being imported from Greece. The taste is different.

Oh I wish I was there too in the sunshine having a nice leasurely breakfast, instead of sitting at my desk eating my porridge with a full day of meetings and conference calls ahead in the UK.

Make the most of your day and enjoy every minute in the sunshine with such beautiful sceanery and friendly people.

It is good to see some positive comments for a change... we all know there is a great deal to moan about, and with some justification it must be said, but even so the good side of life in the TRNC does need to be highlighted now and again.

I would love to be in The Castle to watch Spurs v West Ham next week but alas I will be here in the UK. Looking forward to being out there soon though to enjoy a leisurely breakfast on my balcony just as DC has this morning.
