Jacob (our Grandson aged 3) was talking to his mother about coming over to see us last night Alfie our other dog is allowed to sleep in bed with him - only if he doesn't take up too much room, if he does he'll have to get in the other bed! Also apprarently Mustapha (local shepherd frm Tatlisu) doesn't know all the right words, but it's not funny he will learn them! His mother told Jacob that he will have to learn the words Mustapha knows instead, and he said he hasn't got any more room to learn new words just now. Bless him, also think he's understood enough about PENNY - he openly told his other Grandma last night that PENNY had died. She looked a bit shocked that he'd said it, but then he said 'but she's ok Grandma, she's gone to heaven to play with Elmo and Napa(My daughters 2 dogs who died last year). She's not poorly anymore.' Think Grandma and his mother were both filling up at that point, but he said it very matter of factly. How mature is this for a 3 year old!

philbailey, Thanks for feeling sorry point of posting was how a 3 year old helped with the sorrow but he did not know that, he was just making a comment of his own which I thought was excellent from a 3 year old!

Your Grandson made me smile which is a very good point to a post if you ask me Japeal. I expect a lot of posts seem pointless to some, Football results for instance if your into football and have a computor you would have looked up results yourself but each to their own. I do find it strange that someone would go out of their way to comment on a thread just to inform you that they did not like it, is that not even more a total waste of time?

totally agree with mes 8. if someone isn't interested in the post or they don't see the point just skip it and go to something that does appeal to you. why go out of your way to be negative? there are plenty of proud parents etc that send in little snippets to magazines, we can choose to read them or move to the next feature. this is supposed to be a friendly forum where people share info etc, we just choose what appeals to us. there are too many people sitting in judgement of others, please live and let live. Japeal, it made me smile

Come on folks this forum is also a place to share with friends we know and have met from 44,and also some that we have never met but have befriended because we are members of this forum.I have been away for a while and have just looked a few time...and boy I often think to myself why do I bother ? | Thanks everyone, yes he made me smile and already it is helping us to talk about losing PENNY we had her 11 years and it does hurt but innocent comments from a 3 year old coming totally from him without being told things in that way amazed me. |

Sorry to hear about your dog. I know how you feel after having my companion of 10 yrs put to sleep a month ago. My son (age 32) cheered me up by sending a wonderful email - full of pictures that he took when he was last here. He has had my 2 favourites copied to canvas for me. Your Grandson is a very wise little boy!! You should be proud.
