I may be being a little ignorant, but I'm assuming the New Year is not just for the Iranians but for all the muslim world?? So is it New Year here too on Sunday?

Please don't anyone answer - now I know I'm ignorant. I quick read through Wikipedia has left my head reeling with lots more things I don't understand. I always thought the Iranians would follow the muslim calendar! You learn something new every day.

Well you are right now. Iranian have the most exact calendar in the world.

There is also room for infidels ;) - don't worry.
