Was considering planting Oleander as a quick growing / privacy providing hedge.

However, after reading about it ...... I would like advice from forum members on other plants that would be equally quick to gow / provide privacy but without being toxic!

Any green fingered members wishing to share tips?

If you have a pool, make sure it's going to be something that does not drop too much that will blow into it.

Dodonaea is a good hedging plant. Evergreen, likes full sun, wind tolerant and fairly fast growing. Has small shiny green leaves and white flowers. Widely available here.

We used Campsis Radicans, lovely glossy small green leaves, evergreen and has masses of orange trumpet flowers in groups. Ours has now been in for 3 years this month and is 4feet high. Just needs another couple of years to go to the 5 feet which we needed and to thicken out a bit. worth waiting for. oh, and we have never watered it after the first year.
