[famagusta walk] am i in love?

Love doesn’t come easy sometimes.



Some places you fall in love with from first sight, some you know you love even before you visit them, Famagusta for me was a different matter; although I read all the literature I could find about it and visited it several times in the past. This affection never came as it has been with Salamis and Kantara.

So I decided to join today’s walk conducted by Hans, and what a pleasurable time we all had. No amount of written information could have replaced the unhurried walk with informed and descriptive commentary by the maestro himself, sometimes very sharp and perceptive, other times quite humorous and entertaining.



Now I am going to look at Famagusta’s old town with new eyes. Am I in love? Watch this space.



Hans, a great thank you for your professionalism, devotion and genial company.
