Does anyone know if there is a kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Northern Cyprus?

Thanks,

I do not know about the North but definitely in the South, I used to be visited occasionally by two, The Greek Cypriot I bought my plants from was a Jehovah's witness too, a very nice man.

I just told them I was a witch and they never bothered me.

Is the original quesiton so you can join or stay away. Or to pray them in or pray them out! But to be honest, I think I saw a Kingdom Hall in Famagusta the other week, so I guess the answer is definitely yes. Message 5 is one up on me, as I havne't seen one in Nicosia.

When I lived in the south it was not allowed but I believe now, as it is in Europe (and a little before) things are loser and they are more tolerant of others.

Trouble with JW's is that they don't celebrate Christmas (and I understand why) but that takes a bit of fun out of life. Not sure that children are even allowed to have birthday parties of their own either.

How can anyone with more than one brain cell, watch their child die in agony, rather than allow a blood transfusion, deny their child medical attention, deny them Christmas or birthdays - when all around them, folk celebrate theirs - I simply will NEVER understand how anyone allows a book or person they have never met or may not even have existed; dictate, inform, contaminate, instruct, direct, rule their lives and the paradigms of same they adhere to - give me Santa, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny any day..........I think for myself - then all mistakes I make are mine, any triumphs in my life, are mine - I honour and accept the bouquets and brickbats - no passing the buck to some fantastical Deity for me, as - say - Bush and Blair and billions of others on this planet, do........I make NO apologies for being an atheist - I would rather be me, than a social construct...........

Our favourite Australian bard has dedicated this stirring song to aid the elimination of 'The Festival of Life', who are the same as 'Jehovah's Witnesses' in Australia. These 'evangelists', who usually disturb households at the most inconvenient times, insist on preaching.........well, listen for yourselves - KBW has the antidote!!!

Isn't it strange how a thread asking for information gets sidetracked so quickly.

message 7 for once I agree with you - however the JW I work with has birthday cakes but only if you call them celebration cakes !!!! so I don't out of principle why should I change my birthday cakes to celebration ones so she can have one !? there is one good thing being a JW you never get old

AJ what do you expect when it is about religion that will always bring difference of opinions don't you think as in every conversation it is natural course of events isn't it !

I can't remember the original poster asking for a debate about the rights and wrongs of the subject heading. No wonder people shy away from posting.

AJ are you say all threads stay on topic to the orginal heading - I don't think so as said that is how conversations evolve, surley there is nothing wrong in that as long as it stays polite ? or are we not aloud to deviate and or have an opinion ?

It is typical of the mentalities of many of the frequent posters on this BB to spit their twisted rhetoric at every turn, with impunity and take posts/topics to where THEY want them to be, well said message 14.

AJ - afficionados of 'Scientology' and 'The Kingdom Hall' are prepared to sacrifice even members of their own family in order to conform to their indoctrinated and misguided beliefs.

I think our favourite Australian bard is to be commended for his 'appropriate action'!
