Can anyone provide recommendations for a supplier/installer of roof gutters? Aluminium or plastic, doesn't matter I don't think.

I'm sure there must be some somewhere but darned if I've been able to spy one!

Thanks!

Don't go for plastic, It will end up going brittle in the sunlight.

krin52, agree with alsancakjack with regard to plastic guttering, also less

likley to catch fire if there should a fire nearby i.e sparks cinders etc etc

you may also find aluminium more expensive, but also longer lasting in the

north cyprus weather.

If i were you i would save my money. When it rains here its torrential, so any guttering would not cope with the amount of rain and would overflow. Also you will have problems with the outlets being blocked with leaves and dust. Fitting gutters to houses out here is in my veiw a waste of time money and effort.

Cagra (near the speed trap at Karakum) is the supplier of choice for guttering. The good quality plastic guttering sold here is very strong and I would venture, superior to much of the stuff sold in the UK. I've put this up under a balcony to stop run off over the front door and it works really well if done properly..

The gutters do need to be placed correctly to catch the rain... a lot of the builders here don't really understand the physics involved and water tends to shoot past them when they are most needed...

The problem with leaves may only occur in some locations... we don't seem to have a problem even though we have trees...

When it rains here it is no more torrential than it is in the UK!

You will need to watch where you place the down pipes and consider where the water is going to go... again some of the installers don't give enough thought to this and just put the down pipes where they find it most convenient... you want it where the water will flow away from your house and where it is aesthetically pleasing.
