I want to bring a set of steps made by hailo into Cyprus. These are German made and fantastic for their safety features. These measure 2.5m so fall outside the luggage requirements of BA. Has anyboy else managed to get large items into cyprus by air with any other carrier?, or do I need to beg space in somebodies container.

Your problem with bring a "large" item in is that you nearly always gety stopped by customs and they want to inspect it and make you pay duty, I have had this experience, better to find space in someone's container.

I had a large wooden boxfull of items wanted to bring from UK, flight charges was too high and I prefared Dolphin a Moovers; lorry couriers, came in short while and safe. As far as I know they have a lorry every week from UK to TRNC. and they do parcial shipment.
