Please, please do not think this is a fishy story..more so after my last thread redfish ! While Mr spider was walking the dogs down at our little bay he came back saying he has seen his first shark here...me thinking it was in the sea, as he is always on the hunt down at the clear waters edge but never fishing I said thanks now how do you think I will feel all summer swimming..Ahhh..No he had found washed up a huge big SHARK at least over 5ft 6inch tall.he is shouting at me now it had a nice set of teeth too.He said it seems to have a gaff mark in the bottom of its jaw...He thinks it might get washed back out tonight or even still be there in the morning. Thats one fish I would rather not see....Just thought I would share this with you all...AHHHHH

I know a little bit about sharks, The thing to remember is sharks only bite you when you are wet.

That must be the second one to be washed up in the last 2 weeks as there was one reported in Cyprus Today. I think that you are supposed to report sharks that are washed up to some authority!!

Thanks Chris have not seen the Cyprus today this week..I wonder how huge the one reported was ? Maybe we will ask at the police station unless anyone else has any ideas ? You never know maybe the sea is full of them LOL.. But yes someone may need to know but then again we may get the shrug off ! and the not understanding why bit, but will give it a go.

Have not seen you since goodness knows when, hope your keeping well and we meet soon.

The Three Bears come back home after a nice day out.

The Little Bear cries out 'Someone's been eating my Porridge!'

His Sister Bear Cries out 'Someone's been eating my Porridge!'

Mummy Bear cries out ''Someone's been eating my Porridge too'

Father Bear appears and cries out 'Never mind your Porridge - some bleeder nicked the Video'.

I've emailed Robin at the Cyprus Wildlife Trust (Kuşkor) to see if he is interested in an inspection of the carcass.

Spider,a reminder if I may....Modern Humans have inhabited the planet for around 200,thousand years,Sharks 400million years...I really think the Oceans belong to them Not Us... ..If you go in their "Back Yard," you do so at your own risk.... ..As for your Grandchildren,I don't think "Spiderlings" are on the Sharks Menu...

Sharks can be found in every sea and ocean around the world. Why do you think the recent record breaking swim from TR to TRNC was done inside a cage?

I have seen sharks 1 or 2 miles off-shore here whilst boat fishing.

Sharks are a bit like lightning- they are there, you can see them, people do die because of them, but the chances of you dying because of them is remote.

Hiya Groucho...Its Nr the summer Army Camp down in Karsiyaka..Past the Sq.past a row of shops on the left, and you will see a road on the right just before Benjimans that is on the left...turn right continue to the end of road the onto the dirt track and park in the left hand corner..walk down to the bay and its over to the left side..I have not seen it but its still there. Are you going to view it ? It is the same on that was in the Cyprus Today as they phoned me.It must have been thrown off a boat somewhere as it was an illegal catch..

From an underwater photographer, working on the Barrier Reef and regularly surrounded by sharks of various sizes and species, let me quote what my boss said when I expressed consternation:

'No worries, boy - get back in the water - not every dog in the street will bite yas!'

On that occasion, there were a lot of very large *'Bronze Whalers' around us - Google *them!
