put it this way for a third of the cost would you be interested in whitening your teeth within 30 mins at your home or as you sun bathe on the beach

Not really Basheer!! I was offered a teeth bleach by a hairdresser in Tony and Guy a couple of years ago in the UK as a 'new service they were offering'. I explained to the girl that it would not work for me as my front tooth has a 'dead nerve' from an injury, thus is slightly discoloured and bleach would not correct it. This was explained to me when I went to a dentist who said I needed a root canal repair. I think it is best to have this kind of treatment by someone who is qualified to recognise if you have any teeth of gum problems before hand. Regards, Mrs Snakes.

Hi,

I was in our dentist's witing room about four weeks ago, when an english lady came in and asked this very question. The answer was immediate and was "£250". That is Sirdar above the chemist nealy opposite the law courts in Girne.

pc4854, I was in Sirdar's this morning for a clean and polish, my first experience of dentists here. All went well and was not approached by anyone selling a teeth bleech today!! The cost was also £250 from memory in T&G in the UK.

It seems dental treatment in TRNC has gone up 6 fold in the past couple of years. I think looking for a holiday in Turkey including dental treatment will stack out cheaper than having treatment here. I believe Hungary/Romania are the cheapest places in Europe and India on the Sub-Continent. Though, the amount of treatment needed will depend on whether an overseas trip is worthwhile. A Yank/Turk friend of mine was quoted $6K for dental work in USA but now traveling to Turkey for treatment, the saving being more than air flight, hotel, food & booze and treatment, etc.

For natural teeth whitening mix lemon juice and baking soda to a paste in an egg cup. Apply to teeth with a cotton bud and leave for a couple of minutes, rinse mouth and then brush teeth as normal. Do this twice a week and save a fortune!

Lemon juice is an acid and will dissolve the surface layer of your teeth- do no do this repeatedly or your teeth will become thin and painful. Dental bleach passes through the enamel and safely lightens the underlying dentine.
