Pub Cook wanted



we are looking for a person for the summer season,work permit will be applied for, there maybe an option of doing some part time work out of season



Hours

the working week will be based on a 5 day week, Sunday to Thursday, hours would be 12:00 to about 21:00 and until 18:00 on Thursday approximately, the successful person will have to flexible and have willing attitude



Wages

will be the usual government minimum wage less insurance payments, plus a share of the tips earned during there shifts



Skills

a knowledge of good quality home/ english pub cooking will be required, and able to work with fresh ingredients, also to work alone and unsupervised and follow an easy menu



Duties

prepare and help serve food, clearing of tables and washing up. Keep kitchen area clean and tidy, check stock for shopping

I say old chap, what's this minimum government wage thing? can you live on that?



You pay peanuts, you'll get monkeys.



I was going to apply but I think I am better off on this YTS scheme I've been on for the last 30 years, I get paid for talking and per word I may add. And I do add a lot of words to my work. Self preservation and all that, what?

I agree its the employers legal responsibility to pay the contributions it should not be taken out of the minimum wage its minimum enough as it is!!!!!

maybe i got the figures the wrong way round am not sure

but what ever the amount paid is legally correct as per the rules as they stand at the moment if anyone would like to know more please email the above
