Was shown this by a lady that lives in Lefkosa notoriusly harsh for limscale in the mains and even tankered water. Save your self ££££ on using products like Calgon etc and de scaler....Just go along to the local market and buy what is labelled as LImon tozu (normally in the herbs and spices section MUST BE FOOD GRADE only costs a couple of lira.. You can use this in your kettle, dishwasher and washing machine you will see a noticeble differance you dont need a lot so it goes a long way . Rinse your kettle after even though its is food grade and should be safe i like to give it a a good rinse afterwoods. Add some to the powder drawer in the washing machine each time it will also then work through the machine much like an expensive de scaler and same again for your dishwasher will save you so much in the long run on repairs from clogged up parts and broken down machines !!!! this also will slowly naturally work its way through the pipes although heavily diluted by then ...

Been using it for a year now, our neighbor put us on to it, works a treat, we found the best place to buy it is the big supermarket on the way to Erçan (sorry can't remember the name).

Great for getting the hard water stains of of glass shower screen too, gently wipe over and rinse of it leaves the glas stain free and no damage to glass after using regularily for over a year.

Lemon juice, vinegar or acetic acid have been age old solutions but do get the dilutions right as they can burn you. You would do well to try to prevent it and that is where we can come in and help with products and ideas from our SoftCleanWater web site.

Can you put it in the washing machine with clothes or does it need to be an empty machine?

Hi re message 13 it is quite safe t use in washing machine with your clothes(its actaully a food grade substance) i have been doing it for a while now dont overdose on the stuff 1 tablespoon is plenty , however if you have never de scaled the machine to give it a good run through i would do it on an empty cycle at a high temperature so the stuff can work through the machine undiluted and i would put in double the dosage hope this helps
