One hears of being ripped off in the KKTC but there are instances where this is not so. I am fortunate in having a well thanks to an honourable builder at no expense to myself.Recently I turned on the pump to obtain water for my irrigation system but nothing happened.Thinking that the pump down the well had gone kaput I contacted Mehmet at Marshalls,Esentepe, who prior to working in the shop was/is a plumber/electrician,to sort the problem for me.Initially ,he agreed that the pump was the cause of the problem and quoted me for a replacement. But before he did that he said he would check the electrical cables etc. This he did and it was necessary to replace some of the cable as water had got into the cable and shorted the system.Outcome was that no replacement pump was required although he could have easily have said that was the cause of the problem. The cost would have been far greater. You want an honest electrician/plumber go to Mehmet at Marshalls,Esentepe.

Ossie I am so pleased for and will be the first to acknowledge that there are many, many honest Turkish and Turkish Cypriot tradesmen here. Kulaksiz 5 and the other victims have been realy unfortunate and it is good for you to remind of this.

There was me thinking there was some new credit available. Can we not do such misleading headings please, my cousins in the south get very upset. I must protest on their behalf. Officially.

YFred, never judge a book by its cover in other words read the contents not just the heading.I couldn't care less about your cousin anyway,he's your problem.
