please can some one advise me ,if i was to sell my house my 1st here and buy another am i allowed more land as well as house or as my neighbour says i would only ever be able to own 1 donum as brit i was told this only applys to 1st owned then after you can buy house with more so now confused 'any one been through this situation

You can only hold one title deed in your own name, however new law allows a foreigner i think upto

5 donums as long as an existing house is on that land.

Under the new laws of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) non-TRNC Citizens

are entitled to take title to only one property up to a maximum area of 5 donums per

household providing that the property only consists of one dwelling (previously this was 1

donum, but this has now been increased by the Immovable Property Acquisition and Long

Term Lease (Aliens) Law 52-2008). Building permission will not be granted to build further

dwellings after permission to purchase has been granted. For the purposes of this law,

husband and wife count as one household
