Hi MrTed, thanks for your kind comments, but I can't take the credit for sorting out the problem that you had with your OSN TV package.



It was Gwyn who liaised with HQ and arranged for the problem to be sorted out. I understand that they sent a re-activation signal through the satellite.



Anyway, glad you are pleased with the TV package, customer service and back-up

I have seen one of Paul's competitors scare-scaremongering on here and I would just like to say that we first signed up for the OSN package with Paul just over 12 months ago.When we first got it, we had a smart card.Paul supplied us with one of the new HD decoders in November last year and he has just renewed our subscription for the second year with no problems, I cannot fault the service and back up Excellent.

It has been really annoying me to see and to hear that someone is saying bad things about Paul.



I have known Paul for the last six years. He has supplied TV in my home and my office in Kyrenia and Lefkosa which so far I have not any problem at all with his work.



Truly I am really very pleased to know Paul.



I am founding at Traffic Lights of Bella Bays at Ersoy plaza, KYRENIA which I will very pleased for anyone to come along & show what Paul has done relating T.V Aerials & services.



Anyone will be wellcome to visit me for free information about any problem that my have.

Hello everyone



I am looking for a basic package so that I can get some English TV programmes. I have noticed the advertisement banner at the top of this page. I am only in Cyprus a few weeks of the year so not bothered about getting lots of Sky channels etc. Do you think this package would be suitable and has anyone used this service and can recommend?

Vic, give us a ring, we do the same package as the one advertised, allbeit our package is 495TL but to different standards.



Gooligan - you are entitled to your opinion (I know that you are upset with me becaue of the problems your mate has at the moment)



NegNick - you were never a customer of ours and therefore, you are not telling the truth although, we are booked in to install our TV package for someone that you know very well here.



We are still dealing with the same internet customers after seven years, - I'm sorry that we couldn't please them all, but then, certain personalities do clash and there's nothing that I can do about that.

I have lived in North Cyprus for 5 years. During that time, I have read this board on many occasions. Despite some of the outrageous things that people say, I have never felt the urge to join the board to make a comment as much as I do now.



I have read the vile comments made by certain board members regarding Paul and Gwyn and I have witnessed the hate campaign that is being waged against them. It is disgusting.



I urge everyone to support them in what must be a very difficult time for them.



I certainly can't do without the help and support they give to me with my computer, most of it unpaid support.



It's incidental that I, too, have had their OSN tv system for more than 1 year and I can confirm that Paul and Gwyn renewed my subscription for me without any problems and they didn't want payment upfront. I think I paid them a week later.



The people who are putting this malicious gossip, rumours and speculations should be ashamed of themselves.

Hi, This is my first post on Cyprus 44, I don't generally use forums however I have lived in TRNC since 2004 and have tried a range of Satellite TV services.

I found Arriva, run by Paul, Dan and Gwyn at the beginning of 2010, initially I was sceptical having tried a few of the card sharing systems that froze often. I decided to go ahead with an install and got the OSN and Premier League TV package.

Paul and Dan installed the service so that there wasn't any cables hanging from the outside walls, it was a real pain for them as the internal conduits were full of 90 degree bends so feeding the cables through took forever. They left a neat install that worked perfectly. The service works as well as Sky does in UK, it never freezes or cuts out. In Feb this year Gwyn contacted me to remind me to renew my subscription, this was completed easily and the service carried on without interrupt - Thouroughly recommended if you want a straightforward professional solution

Hi,would just like to say that since we have had this system,if,we have had a problem it has been sorted out more or less straight away.Before we decided to change that we had before this one,we had shopped around and this one is what was best for us,and we have no complaints ever since. Keep up the good work all of you,and we appreciate that now and again there will be small problems that are rectified quickly.We can live with that knowing full well that in the end we have a great system that contains all we need.Thankyou.

Got the OSN package from Paul after being with Dopi. Fed up of never seeing a movie or programe straight through without freezing with Dopi. Paul came when he said he would to install the system. The only problem I have had was when I was away the wind had moved the receiver. I called Paul and he was up that day and repositioned it no charge. I am very happy with the package and the service I have received. I will be renewing when it expires at the end of the year.

After eighteen months of "freezing" tv and on numerous occasions "no tv" with a husband climbing the walls we changed to the OSN package last November.

Paul and Dan came to install the system, what service, quick, clean and Dan spent time explaining how the system worked, fantastic, not a spot of bother since. We did phone with on one occasion and that was a user problem, Gwynn was so helpful, we have recommeded their service to many of our friends.



To Paul, Gwynn and Dan, thank you for a brilliant service, hold your heads up high you have many, many happy satisfied customers.

I also agree Arriva Ltd give a very good and reliable service. We had the osn & the ad Football package installed two months ago. Great picture and no freezing on both packages. Paul and Dan completed the installation with out any mess and the aftersales service is the best we have had in North Cyprus.

I really do not understand the quality of persons judging other persons to the degree of animosity read on this forum about the satellite subject. What i will say is that our system from Satellite Cyprus was put in last year absolutely on the mark with all the channels, no cut out or bad reception, even in the bad weather!! I used to be one of the Dopi customers, so know all about freezing etc.

I would recommend this Company anytime without fear or favour in the knowledge that they would always give service satisfaction if a fault did occur.

We are with Arriva too and they are good suppliers. When we did have a small hiccup they were on the case right away and were even going to bring us another box until our was sorted so that we were not left without TV. You can say what you will but we have found them to be the most reliable we have tried..and we have tried 2 others before them!

We don't have the tv system from Paul & Gwyn but have had internet since the beginning (Internet Club) and later the internet tv. They always do their best if there is a problem, even if it is out of hours. Keep up the good work!!

We have had a satellite system from Gwyn & Paul with no problems, they could not do enough to help when it turned out that that our tv was unservisable they even took my telly to get it repaired, and then came back at a later date to tune it in, there service is A1 and they are nice people just trying to make a living

Having had a tv system installed 2008 and had nothing but trouble with it freezing all the time .I change over to OSN having been with Paul pc tv for some time .It was installed within 2 days and have had NO problems .

Always helpful polite and professional and does a very neat job .

Having moved to North Cyprus and were a little green on TV set up, we went to a lovely English company with Paul and Gwyn in Charge.They came out and installed the TV and set up my Lap top as well. They also came up with some great ideas onhow not to put the cable through the walls as we were renting ,waiting for our house to be built.We have has very good service and made to feel very special customers. Also they are going to help us to move all the equipment to our new house, I cant thank them enough for all the back up service that they have given to us, Many thanks to this company, they believe that customers come first.

We have had a tv package from Paul & Gwyn for the last 18 months and have had excellent service form them both even when our laptop crashed they could'nt have been more helpful. They are always available 7 days a week and always willing to help sometimes without any extra cost. Keep up the good work. We would have no qualms about reccomending them to anyone else as we do often when asked where do we get our english tv from.

We don't have their TV system, being quite happy with the Free to View one we have with another Company. Sorry Gwyn!!! However I have to say their assistance when needed regarding any problems we might have with Extend has been excellent because of Gwynn being able to get through to departments that we have to wait ages to speak to on the Extend answerphone system. I wasn't aware they were having problems with other companies, but I can only speak as I find and we have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

We got Arriva to fit OSN and the AD packages earlier this year (after 3 years of frustration with our previous company) and we have to say that the installation and support service were excellent, as for the 2 tv packages we cant believe the picture quality it's fantastic and it's great to be able to sit and watch something without freezing and scrambling or channels disappearring so well done Arriva, keep up the good work. Highly recommend you to anyone who's listening.

I have dealt with Paul, Gwyn and Dan only a couple of times in the last six months, since I took advantage of there offer to rectify the problems that I had with D O P I, by installing there OSN package.



The only reason for those contacts was to: - 1) to installthe system. 2) to repair wind damage to dish and cable.



That surely goes to prove that thier service is far superior to the ones I have used before. DOPI & Cold.



I would thouroughly recommend them to everyone even.............let me think??????

Hi Not got the Tv package from Paul and Gwen, but we do have the internet, I have had problems with it, some of my own making due to my lack of knowledge. Gwen and Paul, have always been most helpful in sorting me out......my God that takes some doing.

We have used Paul and Gwyn for nearly 3 years now, firstly internet (extend) and secondly TV thro' the internet and computer. Without fail their service has been excellent, having a 7 day a week help line is fantastic. In addition if I have had problems with any of our computers they have sorted these out. HIGHLY recommend them, you will not be disappointed.

We too have used Paul and Gwyn for the past three years, good service, and always helpful !! very happy with our TV (on the computer). If they weren't successful they wouldn't still be in business, so It's obviously a good service !! So many companies have come and gone, they are busier than ever, so if anyone has a problem, just give them a ring and they will sort you out.

We recommend them to anyone.

We have used Paul and Gwyn for the last 4 years for our internet. Any problems have ALWAYS been treated promptly and efficiently and either Paul or Gwyn is available 7 days a week !! How many others offer that kind of service !! It therefore goes without saying, but I will anyway, that I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.

Business jealousy is rife in this small country, and it comes over to me that this has brought the attention of Paul, Gwyn and Dan's business to the fore. They are an excellent Company, and whoever has tried to bring them down, obviously has failed in his own business and no doubt had to leave the island for one reason or another.

We have no complaints whatsoever, only well deserved praise.

I have my internet through Arriva and I couldn't wish for a better service, always on the end of the phone if there is a problem and even sorted out my computer when I was having trouble with my IP address...for free I might add!



I only have praise for Gwyn & Paul and hope they carry on with the good work they are known for.

Having enjoyed living here for more than twenty years, we, for the last few years , have had the added benefit of an excellent TV and internet service provided by Paul, Gwyn and Dan at Arriva. They are friendly, skilful and prompt and we thank them for it. No matter how small the problem, they are willing helpers at the end of the telephone.

Having used the services of Arriva,Paul,Gwyn and Andy for all our OSN & telephone requirements,I cannot understand what MMMMMMM is waffling on about.

We who use them are extremely lucky to have a 7 day 24 hr service to call on and,particularly one which never lets you down.

We are not tv mad and decided not to get a dish and all it entails. But after a couple of years decided to try the Catch-up etc through the computer and asked Gwyn and Paul at Arriva to do it for us. OK sometimes eXtend lets them down, but all in all we have been really pleased. Take last night for instance, I rang about 7pm with a question, as the Netbook with the subsidiary tv wasnt working and Gwyn talked us through getting everything sorted again - so I could watch the dishy prof on Stars!! I know sometimes firms like this get flak - but we've always been treated well, seen as soon as they could manage it, and even collected my computer to sort it out when I wasnt well, thats what I call service - which sometimes isnt always available over here!



And who cares if the programmes are a day old - we get instant news, and thats sufficient!! They say never recommend but I think Im ok on this one!!

Just to say that we live in Lapta and six months ago we got Satellite Cyprus to install the ADTV system and organise our laptop to be able to download and receive british TV programs. The system has been excellent and we have happily recommended it to friends. The friends who have had it installed are also delighted with the system. We had one minor problem and Paul came out immediately and sorted it out. Gwyn is also at the end of a telephone if there are any queries. We have been delighted with both the system and the service we have received.

Been a customer of Paul and Gwen's for 5 years , their's was the only company that managed to get us online. Due to our location we had a lot of problems in the beginning but they always came out. I have recently had catch up installed on my laptop by them and as always fast and professional service, really pleased with it and their support, they are at the end of the phone if I need them and I have. I have also got a freeview system (not installed by them) and had lost many channels, I spoke to Dan about it, he found the problem and a day later Paul and Dan arrived with a new part and fixed it at no cost. Good customer service ? absolutely.

I had Nilesat for 2 years and it was installed by Acip Satelliteshop in Lapta. Their service was great coming to install the system on the day promised and they cleared up all the mess after them.

We have known Paul, Gwyn and Dan for approx 5 years now. We went with them when they had The Internet Club and then changed over to Extend. Extend have not always been the best, though no worse than any of the others out there, but if we have any problems Gwyn is always at the end of the phone line to help us out. Not changed yet to the TV system, changing over in June when our current tv contract runs out, but our friends who have cannot speak too highly of it.

I have lived here for five years and have to say that Paul and Gwynn have to be among the most friendly and helpful people I know. No problem is ever to much trouble, they are always always on the end of the phone and if necessary will come to my home. I don't get my TV from them but my Internet and phone I do and would never want to deal with anyone else. This is the first time I have ever made a comment on any forum but have heard that certain 'nasty people' are making life very unpleasant for them and felt I needed to say my bit in support of them. Keep up the brilliant work you do you do have lots of friends out there. Jan

Since arriving in Cyprus, four years ago, we have tried three other companies for TV. They were totally rubbish, they were typical "Pirates". We have been with this company for several months now, no problems, no freezing, they keep us informed to updates, we haven't called them out yet, (no problems yet!), but, having got to know them we are absolutely sure they would be here the same day.

The programmes are axactly what we asked for and we consider their package the very best on the island.

Gwyn is my angel at the end of the phone! a lovely lady who knows what she is talking about and always listens patiently when I am a bit thick on the uptake. She and Paul have always provided us with excellent service from the IC days right up to now and hopefully on to infinity and beyond!!

Only heard today about the positively slanderous postings of someone on this forum. An absolute disgrace.

I don't think you would get a better and more personal service anywhere than the one provided by Gwyn, Paul and Dan.

Paul, Gwyn and Dan offer the best service you'll find in TRNC. Clean, professional installation. And who's been rumour mongering about not being able to renew?!? What a plank! They live here! Have done for eight years or so. They wouldn't do anything to harm the good reputation they've built up over years! If you want a reliable TV service then ring them, don't hesitate. The back up is excellent. They're the good guys. I've recommended them to all my friends and they're just as happy as we are.

We have very limited tools available to us. First of all deleting post's is a very laborious thing to do especially if they are not at the end of the thread. We then have to add text to say that this posting has been deleted due to whatever and that is to keep the posting numbers intact. We have had catch-up TV, internet and UK telephone number from Arriva since we arrived nearly 2 years ago. Excellent service from Paul, Gwyn and Dan. Cannot imagine that we will be changing to any other provider in the foreseeable future.

Spud50 posted in another thread, Extend Internet - great service



We are now in our second year of using Extend for our internet connection. The service provided by Gwyn and the Extend team has been excellent. We went to England recently for a week and when we returned the signal seemed to be much poorer. One phone call to Gwyn and she arranged for the tech guys to come and look at the problem. They replaced our receiver on the roof and the signal is now brilliant.



Thanks for an speedy job, Gwyn.

I would like to add to the comments regarding the services of Arriva. I have been a customer of this company for almost 4 years and I know they have experienced some tough times through no fault of their own. Despite this, Paul and Gwyn have always been loyal to their customers with service, advise and help on a personal basis. How anyone can fault them is beyond me, I can only put it down to jealousy and spite and wish the company all the best as I know they will come through this with flying colours.

gotavilla.......Arriva Ltd are a legal, professional and knowledgeable company in the TRNC. Having known Gwyn, Paul and Dan for almost 9 years we know that they are well liked, GENUINE and well respected as individuals by the majority of people.



They run a first class business, pay their taxes and should not be the brunt of rumour mongering. They should be commended for the service they provide......as most of us know, who are legal here, it is very, very hard to run a company keeping within the rules of the Government.

There's no doubt that you will here good things about Washerman's service and there's good reason. It's the truth.

It's interesting to note that the praise comes from Washerman's customers and the criticism comes from non-customers.



Non-customers who perhaps, can't envisage someone being able to provide such a good service or. people with an axe to grind or, even illegal competitors with an 'ulterior' motive.



Without doubt, the most resounding 'YES' vote on Cyprus 44 for a TRNC business.

I appreiciate your point of view,however I think its fair to say that for the last 3 months Paul and his family have been subjected to horrendous "internet bullying " from a members of this forum.

Pauls customers have supported him because he runs a great company and it sends out a clear message to the bullies.

You are very welcome to visit me anytime to see the TV system installed by Paul and his team/its first class and is backed up with a first class service.

Just for the record/I first met Paul in Jan of this year so I'm not a life long friend just a very happy customer who believes in fairness.

My computer went funny this morning so I phoned Gwyn - it was early, about 8 o'clock. Gwyn identified it as a wireless router problem. Dan usually deals with that sort of thing but he was out with his dad (at 8am on a Sunday morning!) repositioning dishes on roofs after the strong winds yesterday. Gwyn must have contacted Dan because he phoned me back within the hour and talked me through what I needed to do. All this before 9am on Sunday morning. If this was the UK you'd have to spend 1 a minute to get support any day of the week, let alone Sunday, and they'd keep you hanging on as long as they could to click up the pounds! Dan charged me nothing! You get exactly what it says on the tin when you deal with Arriva - exceptional service and support.

Generally speaking I have stopped posting on here simply because I am not keen on the way the forum is being used by some members. However when it comes to my dealings with Paul, Gwyn and Dan I am willing to break with that decision. If only everyone in TRNC gave the level of service that their company does the place would be better for it. No you are wrong my questions were sincere, that's you being paranoid, the reason i asked you was because your opinions outside of the satellite topics are usually spot on, so your thoughts on north vs south ect do count to me, and where you plan to retire or settle s a genuine interest.

What i don't agree with is you going on about the same thing time and time again, which can be damaging, you have said your bit, you should leave it, its below the belt and in the real world if you was acting this way you would spend half your life walking around with black eyes.

I would question any ones mental stability who is so concerned about another mans business in a different country, and the obsession about people losing peanuts.

Once again,let me stress how satisfied we are with the service provided by Paul and his family.Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

In all the years we have been customers,they have never let us down because,if they had,it stands to reason that we would have dispensed with their services as,I presume,others would have done.Surely,their customer base speaks for itself as does the number of recommendations posted on Cyprus44.

I dont care what anyone else says, we have NOTHING BUT GOOD SERVICE and help from Arriva. They are always on the end of the phone if we need them, we have just had some upgrades which were great value and when we needed credit on our phone it was done at once before we had even paid for it. Great company, great service and very nice people.

A certain amount of advertisement is allowed on C44 but I think there is a concerted effort here to (1) promote a certain service and (2) to keep attacking a certain person and hope that he is banned. We do not approve "mob action" and we the mods evaluate each case on its merits and not give in to pressure under concerted numerous e.mails.
