he Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris has published the results of a research regarding child births in the “TRNC.” According to the research, the growth of the real estate sector and the boom in birth rate are connected. Comparing data from 2002 until 2009, it appears that the highest number of births was in 2007, with 4.009 children being born.

In 2009, when the real estate sector took a dive, only 2.556 children were born. From the given statistical data more boys than girls were born in the 8 year period and that the majority of the births occurred during the summer months. Specifically the yearly numbers of births are as follows: Year Total Births 2002 2.338 2003 2.572 2004 2.987 2005 3.208 2006 3.611 2007 4.009 2008 3.888 2009 2556

| Bill Practice is one thing but success another! Anyway, near on impossible for a foreign male to attach himself to a TRNC female for breeding. There's still a very subtle custom of arranged marriages which continues in North Cyprus though now, somewhat dispelled by returning CT's returning from Oz, USA, UK etc. And their differing OS mentality. | This figure will obviously apply mainly to mainland Turks rather than Cypriots. Not that any figures can be relied upon here - especially relating to what remains of the Turkish Cypriot population. |

This is just living proof that even the settlers have been Cypriotified. Does anyone know what the average figure is in TRNC. I think I may be carrying the flag here with 4 kids.

Unbelievably, one of the GC's demands for a solution is that the TC's never exceed 20% of the islands population. A falling birth rate will save the introduction of forced sterilisation.
