Why is it that well known Turkish Construction companies can build:

Sea View Apartments in Turkey with Studios from £13,900 ....... and 2 Bed 2 Bath Penthouses from £38,000 and only £6,278 deposit and nothing else to pay until Dec 2012 !

Indoor and Outdoor pools and many excellent facilities ... 1500 m from the beach! And with no problem with Deeds!

Am I missing something here? Hmm ....

I think 29 square metres for 14 grand is high. that works out a nearly 500 pounds a square metre. Off plan too?? Much cheaper here for re sales closer to the beach than 500m!!!

pay the £13,900 for the studio flat using a credit card and if there are quality issues the builder won't deal with, sue the credit card company as they are jointly liable. Now thinking about it, why not do that at each stage here? Ah, now I remember, the title deed is not recognised outside of the TRNC and Turkey but in Turkey that's not a problem.

msg1 the bit you are missing is that Turkey has an abundance of cheap land, domestic labour & domestically manufactured building materials rather than being in Island based non embargoed enclave where everything is shipped over the water or more expensively by airfreight.....

did I mention (slightly) less corruption & government instiutions that (generally) work

still glad I bought here though....
