Coast road past Tatlisu to Karpas

Does any one know if the new coast road is finished all the way to the Karpas yet?

I've got friends out next week and they would like to see the Karpas, but the last time i went ( early last year ) the road was not complete and we had to turn back and go over the mountian and go via Bogaz. It would be a lot easier and quicker if the road is finished to Dipkarpas.

Thanks for that. Do any of you know how far it goes? or when it comes to an end is it easy to get to another road to continue?

The road is now complete as far as the petrol station near to Bafra. I drove it a couple of times last week.



There are no signposts so just make sure you go right, over the mountains, at the new junction past Mersinlik. The left turn takes you along the coast but is unfinished.

It depends which road you mean. The one that comes over the mountains towards Bafra is done (though why anyone would want to go to Bafra is beyond me). However the one from Tatislu along the north coast of the Karpaz has not even reached Balalan yet and has a very long way to go.

OK can i change the question then? In your opinion which way would be the best way to drive to the Karpas from Esentepe?
