Having lived here for 4 years we had got used to no post at all despite people sending letters cards. the only card we had was 1 sent recorded delivery.

Then 6 weeks ago i decided to have a PO box in Girne. Within 2 weeks of giving friends and family the PO Box address mail began to arrive ! The only ones that have not arrived are the ones posted in London.

Today we went to check and again we have mail. 3 letters and 2 of them (cards) were posted on March 24th. One in Kent and the other from Guernsey. Both arrived/were stamped in Girne post office on March 28th !!!!!

After 4 years i have got Mothers Day cards for this coming Sunday.

To all the Mums here who do not get their cards from UK or elsewhere- you can share the wishes in mine. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY for Sunday x

Oh and Thank You to the postal service which has finally got it right (famous last words !)

I am off now to celebrate. Well it is nearly Sunday.
