Doubt if we will sort out the Sat TV issue (which one to go for etc) so will be using the DVD.



Should we bring stacks of films over with us or ....are is it easy to buy foreign films in the TRNC? How 'out of date' are UK / American films?



Also, where are they sold please?

There are MANY DVD shops in TRNC.....Good quality copies in most cases, and up to date films.....10tl for four....



Usually have a language Menu so no probs....enjoy

DVD shops everywhere all latest stuff aswel as old, best place I found was the one by cafe brittan alsancak.

When visiting the markets...... you can pick them up there too.



Dvd World in Alsancak (opposite Capitano Restaurant), is the best shop.

Many good dvd shops around Girne area, besides DVD world there is one on Bellapais Road by the turning to go to Lemar.

Most of the stores will let you have a quick look on a TV to confirm quality - my experience is that most shopkeepers will tell you which ones are ropey if you enquire (makes me wonder why they bother to try and sell the poorer quality ones).

THERES ONLY ONE 'DVD WORLD' AND THATS IN KARAOGLANOGLU AND TRUST ME THAT SHOP IS THE BIGGEST AND THE BEST, REALLY JUST FORGET THE REST. NEAR GAU UNI OPENS FROM 2PM-10PM 6 DAYS.
