Is thera borderline in comedy as to how far you should go? What about comedians like Roy 'chubby' Brown, does his humour go too far?

Harry Enfield seems to have caused a furore because his comments are regarded as racist and sexist. As you point out we have had Bernard Manning and now Chubby Brown. Certainly Chubbs is very 'blue' but I cannot remember if he was racist. I will have a look at my Chubbs dvd this evening! LOL



In any event it all seems to be double standards. It is either right or wrong and should not be dependent on who the comedian is.



BTW I saw Bernard Manning live at Merthyr Tydfil F.C about 20 years ago. ( I guess some people would say it was the best place for him!) I am not sure now if I should be ashamed to admit that I found him hilarious.

I liked Bernard Manning, as a comedian. In a twisted kind of way I liked his type of humour.

Chubby Brown - No, not my type of humour.

If you are having a laugh at somone's expence you are either a racist, blastfamous, sexist or what ever. more often than not its the bloody P.C brigade getting on their high horse, when all they need to do is get in the real world and get a sence of humour.

anybody heard the joke about the china man.no i had better not as it may offend a billion chinese people,doe,s anybody remember the comedy sketch

(goodness gracious me) about a couple of indian family,s that took the rise out of the british way of life.i thought it was hillarious and never took offence at the subjects portrayed in the sketches,it could have been called racist and sexist,and probably was but too me it was only humour and not ment to be anything other than that.

The sketch in Goodness Gracious Me where they go out for an "English" [meal] was hilarious and very very funny. Didn"t offend me at all, thought it was great.

i agree bernard manning was a rascist and also admitted the fact, also jim davidson is also a rascist i can not stand either of them, they are dinosaurs from a era that has finished and i for one am glad that we do not hear this kind of humour in any forms of media
