hi all

I'm venturing over at the start of november on my own to view a property. Is there any night clubs open this time of year around the kyrenia area and if so what nights are they busy (it may appear a silly question but I've got to do something with my time apart from eat read and sleep).

Cheers

Colin

Try Night Park next to the big central car park in Kyrenia.

During winter in Kyrenia, MOJO seems to be the leader.

Unlike other discos, they do not close at 2am.

You should really check out this website for the night:

Rocky, it's very easy to spot the chicken ranches, they are a little out of town, and have accommodation (usually rented by the hour I believe) attached. Very unlikely to mistake the two.

Is that what the huge place on the mountain road between Kyrenia and Lefkosa is? Near the cement works? We did wonder who would go clubbing out there!

Here in TRNC a night club is what we call in the UK a brothel. They also sometimes call them here casinos.

Izzet we are coming out to NC on the 22nd Oct. We want a night out in Girne. We ar all in our forties but youngish at heart. We don't want house etc. Could you rate any of the following bars or clubs as being suitable, Boaters, Cafe34, Cafe Harbour, City Bar, Colors, Marina, NYX, Stage Rock Bar, Shakers, Legend?

good luck you will have a good time and save a fortune by NOT GOING TO any of those.

Being in my forties and liking a good time out here it is an ART to find any where with dancing and no BOOM BOOM music we all like to boogie but for our age it is a problem.

Agree with Nige. Most of the places stated in message 13 are Bars. Just drinking places with background music. Mind you I haven't been to a couple of them.

i agree with nige.

i personally like boaters. it's very small, cozy and not many young people go there.

roxannes (next to rocks hotel) may be good, if ur lucky..

if you like rock music, i think you will definitely enjoy the tunnel club.

it's on the main road from the roundabout to colony, on the right side, below anibal kebab house.

discos are crowded with children! :P

Izzet thanks for your reply. We went in Roxannes last year but thought drinks @ 15YTL each were expensive. We know where the Tunnel Rock Bar is it is just up from Pacific Car Rentals, but where is Boaters? and how much are the drinks there?

If the sign outside is any thing to go by you need no guessing what goes on in Foreplay!!!!!!!!

wilts girl - msg 8. No the place you are thinking of is the new water park!!!!! Great idea but in the centre of an arid island and where temps are highest.

Night Club alley is an the Lefkosa - Guzelyurt road just though Gonyeli. You can always tell when they have had a good night there are lots of towels on line outside!!!!!!! Some greta names though - Single Girl, Lipstick, even our own Playboy Club!!! Would guess there are around 30 of these places in that area either operating or being built.

Funny how people call them different things. I think Nige is refering to what we call the 'tit an' itch'..! This along with Brothel Alley (the Lefkosia/Guzelyurt Rd) is definitely to be avoided - unless you like that sort of thing of course...

As for the Gov trying to shut them down, they seem to be doing the best business. No wonder so many new ones keep being built. Imagine the taxes (+ bribes) they are paying. I expect the Gov are rubbing their hands together!

Probably, maybe Gordon Brown should legalise them over here! Might help the economy!

"I expect the Gov are rubbing their hands together!"

as long as that's all they are rubbing! ha ha ha

Laugh, when we were queueing up for documentation once we noticed a nicely named file for "White Girls Nightclub" no guessing required there....

You need a disco for dancing and music... avoid Night Clubs like the plague (which is what you'll catch if not careful)
