Please can anyone advise me on where to buy and have installed a modern gas fire that will provide heat as well as looking cosy. One shop I looked in had lovely fires but I was told that most of the heat will go up the chimney. Thanks

Warmlife Heating in Catalkoy have a range of gas fires. If there is a chimney (flued), obviously some of the heat will go up there, but they also do ones where you dont need chimneys so all the heat goes back in the room. They have modern as well as traditional ones. (miss robbie c)

You could also try Greenium in Ozankoy - he has some lovely fires and is really helpful. Greenium is on the main road towards Catalkoy (on the right hand side just before Erdener supermarket).
