Could be a trapped/impinged nerve in your cervical spine (neck)............ \I had what you describe ,but check with your Doc...

Vision: sometimes blurred, sometimes zigzag flashes which start big and then get smaller and stop (2 years now). Been for tests both to eye clinic and head scan but they could not find the problem, the test did show a lack of B12 (which I did read on the internet gives eye flickers) but have B12 jabs now.

Zig zag flshes sound like classic symptoms of migraine, do you get headaches to go with them as well? Aching in the spine in the morning sounds like arthritius, I've never had dead hands, so can't comment on that, but really you should go to a doctor. Although a lot of of us on here love to give our "exceptionally knowledgable !!!!!!!" advice, you need to see someone who actually knows what they are talking about. (No offence to everyone else)

Message 1,

I really think you need professional help, not on here, but by a qualified Doctor who can run a series of tests. The symptoms you describe could mean so many things so no point in any of us guessing.

Good Luck and make that appointment tomorrow.

Take the advice of the nurse and get to the bottom of it. It could be trapped nerve, frozen shoulder or even plain old arthritis.

Babrew. I had all the same symtoms except the blurred vision, had all sorts of tests, nothing showed up but 2 fused vertebre in my spine, I have changed my mattress to a harder one and all my aches and pains have now disappeared.

Do you have "Crepitis" ie, creaking sensations in your neck, .pain in the back of your neck, and aches in your shoulders together with tingling in your arms and hands ??If so, you need a referral to an orthopaedic surgeon ..I ended up having to have an "Anterior Cervical Discectomy, with Fusion"..An operation to remove 3 discs from my spine and Titanium cages with bone grafts............... Not Pleasant............best of luck

Why don't you take Nurse Chris's advice and contact a doctor?

It would put the fear of God into anyone reading all these posts as to what your symptoms might or might not mean.

Why not consult someone who might actually know?

Yes you should go and see a doctor, when I had severe pain in both arms they did a blood test and it was rheumathoid arthritis ! It could be anything so go and have a medical.

Re Message 15. Medikent Hospital have a good one, can't remember his name, Near East University have an excellent one Professor(can't spell) Erkan Kaptanglu, and there is one at Kyrenia Medical Centre, Dr. Bulent. I've seen them all, and they are all good. If you have problems, go and get them sorted out.
