the government say there is no money in the pot to sort this problem.. so how can they invest in all the new hotel projects and casino projects .. isnt public health more important than slot machines. is there nothing we can do..?? We live in esentepe and get a lot of carbon dust .. and the stench as you drive from aligadi.... the so called protected area.. is sickening.

The government are doing something about the problem, and have hired an international consultant specialising in the emission of toxic fumes from installations, including power stations. Though there is no money available to carryout any remedial work, what they are expecting is a damning report, from which they can apply to the EU for a grant to rectify the problem. The grant will of course be approved.

This is why it is so very important to choose where you buy on the island,i could not imagine living near that huge chimney that is such a blight on the beautiful landscape.

But where else can we get our power from?
