Perhaps it's me but this Forum is getting more like a buyers/sellers forum? While I do understand that some have a need to buy & sell, there are many that want to discuss important issues, and for some reason anyone who wants to debate a serious subject (obviously about Cyprus) seems to be either banned or their thread closed!



If Cyprus 44 is just another Exchange & Mart perhaps you should tell the members then we can move on?

Within the stated rules Cyprus44 follows what members want it to be. Personally I believe its strength comes from its diverse subject matters.

TRNC victim, if your life is pretty good, you have most everything you need. You have no problems with say, builder issues, bank issues etc., then what is on at your local, which darts team is good, which bodybuilder is coming to the island, who has a happy hour etc etc is all you want to know about. I have absoultely no problemn with that. So therefore if you and I want to bang on about Kulaksiz, Aga, Olive Grove, Seaterra.

Tutuska, the majority of the afore mentioned have no problem with that, in fact I think it is only one person that does and he will probably prove me right by closing your topic at the first opportunity.

Harold 2555 I agree diversity is good and we cannot be too serious all the time - but when we are we should not be bullied.

I agree with you Cyprus 44's strength does come from it's diverse content! but when all good debate is stifled, all you are left with is a buyers/sellers site, with some advertising for good/bad food/beer?



Cyprus 44 in my opinion was always more than an Exchange & Mart, but recently has succumbed to nothing more than the advertising section of my local UK Newspaper!

There is a separate section for buying and selling. Providing members use this section appropriately I cannot see what the problem is.



Maybe a serious debates page should be created for members who want to bang on about the never ending problems in NC....

Sometimes this Forum is like reading "The Sun" "The Star" or the "Daily Sport" when some of us would rather read "The Guardian" "The Times" or the "Telegraph!



Unfortunately the "NEVER ENDING PROBLEMS OF THE TRNC" seemingly will "NEVER END" No-one more than the victims wish there was some end in sight! until that day we will "BANG ON" hopefully without censorship!



If this Forum is to be yet another Exchange & Mart? perhaps you should be left to enjoy your buying/selling good food/bad food forum in your TRNC Utopia, and let others debate the real Cyprus Issues that have such dreadful consequences for the TRNC and the ROC? and the victims that both have produced and sadly won't go away!

Perhaps just that buying & selling anything from a House to a Cot to a Fridge/Freezer or a Garden Swing? should be seperated automatically! surely your local Cyprus Newspaper or a seperate section on Cyprus 44 can provide for any Exchange & Mart there?

Assuming we have overcome this issue, how do we then make the discussion section appear more like "The Guardian" and not like "The Sun"....?

I agree message 34. The For Sale page is ued all the time. Ok we put Events where things are old on the general forum, but that is usually just advertising the event, not an acutal purchase.
