We are just about to but some a/c units....decided to go for the R410 Gas as been told its more economic...however not sure which brand to buy.

Any one have Climatic? They are a good price and come with a 3 year guarantee.

It's not a matter of economics. R410a gas is the replacement for R22 which was phased out internationally as an ozone layer depleter. There is some R22 kit still about but the gas is now black market and expensive.

I will try and see if there is any Climatic about but they ran out last year and not sure if they were imported again.

I can do Hitachi for you at a good price with a 3-year guarantee.

What size(s) do you want?

Do you want inverter or non-inverter?

Many thanks

I purchased them through a friend of mine who is an agent here - the prices when I bought 2 new ones recently where:

9,000 BTU Unit £ 379.00

12,000 BTU Unit £ 420.00

18,000 BTU Unit £ 600 and something

21,000 BTU Unit £ 600 and something

24,000 BTU Unit £ 800 (ish)

Sorry don't have the exact prices of the larger ones, but the 9000 and 12000BTU I have written down.

Not the cheapest, but we have had 2 other Bosch units for over 3 years and never needed one repair or service. We looked into others that were cheaper but decided to go with what we know. Personal choice and not the same one everyone would make I'm sure... everyone wants as cheap as they can get nowadays.

Cheers,

G
