The Royal Wedding will be shown live at the Waterfront Restaurant, Bar & Games Room on Friday April 29th.

We are celebrating with a seaside "street party" hosted by the inimitable Pete: bunting, horseplay, banter, music ... the whole shebang.

Doors open at 11:00am with the ceremony showing at 13:00pm (Cyprus time).

For those wishing to eat there is a set menu (to be served following the ceremony) at TL30 per person as follows:

STARTERS - choice of:

Courgette & Mint Soup,

Chicken Liver Pate with Sultanas & Brandy,

Marinated Mushrooms with Bacon & Red Wine on a bed of lettuce.

MAIN COURSES - choice of:

Poached Fillet of Salmon with a dill sauce,

Coronation Chicken on a bed of Rocket,

7 Vegetable Tagine with a spicy nut bulgur salad,

{main courses with Chef's selection of vegetables or salad}

SWEETS - choice of:

Spiced Raisin & Apple Crumble with Cream or Ice Cream,

Iced Summer Fruits with a warm white-chocolate sauce.

Hi Tony,

The Waterfront Restaurant & Bar is on the sea side of the main coast road in Lapta, adjacent to the Celebrity Hotel.

The set menu is now fully booked. However, other food will be available from 15:30.

All are most welcome to enjoy the wedding at our excellent seaside venue, with the wedding itself being shown in three rooms on five big screens and a massive projector.

As well as the wedding there will be great entertainments from the famous Peter, including a Mr & Mrs contest, Royal quiz and music.

(For the Bah-Humbugs our seaside terrace is mostly wedding-free... mostly... there might be a bit of bunting...)

Please note, even if you haven't managed to secure a place for the set menu food will be available from 15:30 and all are still most welcome to attend our seaside street party!

(PS contrary to some rather odd rumours our prices remain unchanged).

Would it not be possible to arrive a little earlier, say 10:30 so that we can see the crowds and watch the guests arriving at the Abbey. We have a a table booked for 6 ladies for lunch.

The restaurant proper will be open from 11:30 - we have to finalize set-up

Prior to that however, you are more than welcome to watch the proceedings in our Lounge and Games Room from 10:30am.

There will also be music, singing and Karaoke all afternoon and continuing into the early hours.

All the events can be held indoors so no problem if the weather is nasty.

thanks Sags
