Closest that you are going to get is either a yacht or a skippered day trip from the harbour, as far as i'm aware there are No places to hire smaller dınghies, possibly because of straying into military zones?

Be careful when exploring the coastline not to approach the military areas.... loads of them. If you hear a whistle head away!

SUFC99 there is someone (Cannot find the thread right now) who goes out from Esentepe, try Greg at Glencoe he will put you right.

Thanks for the helpfull advise, particularly from fellow blades. Did you know the builders Carrington have strong blades links? It make my decision to buy that much easier!

Smity,thanks for the info.

On the footy front hmmmm. I am a season ticket holder and have been most of my life. as you get older the weekend seem to feel 'less ruined' after defeat... something of a depressing year..

Yes I know the owners wife is from Sheffield and a Blade. Also Newlad is a "closet" blade because I took him to the first home game against QPR last year and he got hooked !

Yes sufc99 you cannot expect to much being a united fan. Lots & lots of bad decisions made at all levels....

Any other ideas??

Still looking. Prefer to use without skipper, but nothing too big. A 'speed boat' would be file enough to explore.

Try Un at Sunrise Beach club at Lapta.

I know it's not the Esentepe side but might be worth travelling that little bit.

Hippo is away at the moment sailing the high seas he is.

Unless you are a competent sailor and know the coast well I would strongly advise against such a trip, if will be fine if you intend to keep a good offing but there are many uncharted rocks and shallows.

The restricted areas have been relaxed now for a long time. The main ones remain around Snake Island and the power station.

I very much doubt if you can hire a bare boat for such a trip, certainly one that would afford you some comfort.
